I give as generously as I can to Greater Portland Family Promise because its mission is so important to children in our community. Last summer I learned that children were sleeping on the floor of a city office because Portland’s family homeless shelter was full. I met one of these families and knew that these young kids deserved so much more. In addition to providing temporary housing, GPFP will provide intensive case management services, thereby truly addressing the needs of children and their families who are experiencing homelessness. The unique hospitality aspect of the program is what makes it special to me.
– Amy Holland, Board Treasurer

From the first moment I heard about Family Promise I knew I wanted to be involved. No one deserves to be homeless, but for families with children, it’s especially heartbreaking. The Family Promise model, which promotes broad collaboration and partnerships between faith communities and existing community resources is one of the main reasons I am so proud to be involved. It is really an honor to support – with my time as well as financial gifts – the truly transformational work of Greater Portland Family Promise.
